Renewed Hatred A Small Wrant

I hope you are having a wonderful day, dear reader. It has been a beautiful, albeit hot weekend.

Ok, enough niceties. Let’s get right into the Wranting. Did anyone watch the NFL Draft? For those of you who did, how embarrassed were you for Mel Kiper Jr.? His constant chatter and praise for Shedeur Sanders was way over the top. This man threw a temper tantrum on national television because Sanders was sliding in the draft. Here is an actual quote from Mel:

“The NFL has been clueless for 50 years when it comes to evaluating quarterbacks. CLUELESS! They have no idea what they’re doing in terms of evaluating quarterbacks. That’s proof. There’s proof of that. They say, ‘We know exactly what we’re talking about when it comes to quarterbacks.’ They don’t!”

Instead of talking about the picks that WERE being made, Kiper took up most of the air time constantly complaining that Sanders hadn’t been picked yet. Also, let us not forget that Kiper should have quit years ago. He said so himself! But don't take it from me, here it is, straight from the “Draft Guru”(I’m using these quotations sarcastically by the way):

“If Jimmy Clausen is not a successful quarterback in the NFL, I'm done. That's it. I'm out… I want eight years.”

Here are Jimmy Clausen’s stats from his entire career in the NFL:

21 games played, 2,520 yards, 7 touchdowns, 14 interceptions.

Mel Kiper Jr. is the absolute last person to call someone out for their inability to evaluate quarterback talent. He needs to finally retire.

Furthermore, Sanders’ father, Deion, head coach of the University of Colorado, has completely set up his son for failure as an adult. Deion retired his son's number at the University after only two seasons, a 13-12 record, and a 22 point loss against BYU in his only bowl game. SERIOUSLY? What level of delusion are these people on? Now, Deion is blaming the Devil for Shedeur.

You read that right. I’m dead serious. Deion Sanders is blaming the literal devil for his son sliding in the NFL Draft. This is beyond insanity.

It really seems that everyone but Kiper and the Sanders family knew that Shedeur wasn’t going in the first round. It was reported that he lacked accountability and was completely unprepared in his pre draft interviews. This entire saga is a microcosm of what is wrong with the Professional Sports Industry as a whole.

Ok, enough with the Sanders talk. Let me ask you, dear reader, what year is it?  I only ask because I am back in the throes of deep, burning hatred for the Bay Area. Seriously, can the Golden State Warriors just fade into obscurity already? I am sick and tired of being down to them in a series. 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019… Now 2025. What kind of sick simulation do the robots have me in?

Steph Curry cannot be a real person. How does he still hit these circus, fade away, throw it up and pray three point bombs on a consistent basis? It’s baffling. It defies all laws of known physics. Then he follows it up with a shimmy or night-night celebration, and it makes my blood boil, dear reader. It really does. Maybe he’s doing it to make me, specifically, mad. I bet that’s it.

Also, I just absolutely loathe Draymond Green. That’s all I can say about that without going from being a clean family blog to being rated ‘M’ for “Man do I really ******* hate that ***”. He’s just an absolute clown. He has a history of eye poking, groin kicking, chest stomping, and countless other dirty plays. He punched his own teammate in the face in practice and when the video was leaked, all he and their self righteous coach Stever Kerr cared about was who leaked the video. I cannot wait until Green is out of the Association.

Dear reader, I’m so tired of the Bay Area. I’m tired of Curry. I’m absolutely sick of Draymond Green.

I hate the Golden State Warriors, and I don’t care who knows.

But most of all, my friend, I’m just tired of losing to them. Let’s go Rockets. Close this series out.

Walker’s Weekly Wrecommendations

Each week I’m gonna review and recommend random things - TV shows, music, or a restaurant. IDK. Whatever I feel like. This is my blog.

This week's Triple W is Neflix’s adaptation of Cixin Liu’s “Remembrance of Earth’s Past” trilogy. Using the title of the trilogy’s first book, “Three Body Problem” is a fantastic adaptation of Liu’s work. A lot of the visuals used in the show are exactly as I imagined them while reading the books. Netflix changed a few things, but that’s to be expected with a TV adaptation of a book series. The changes they made help pace the show properly, and the eerie elements of the book remain intact. It is a fantastic show, and it has been renewed for a second season.

NEXT WEEK: Walker’s Wranting’s presents “TBA” - I’m sure I’ll find something to Wrant about this week.
