The Return of the Wrant:
I know it has been a long time readers. I know you have missed my amazing writing. I’m sorry. I’m ready to make time for you. Now that things aren’t as crazy, I’m back, and I’m ready to Wrant.
Let me start by congratulating my man, James Harden for winning the MVP. Well deserved. I can’t wait to see what he does next year.
Loyal readers will recall my NBA playoff predictions. Time to eat crow. I just didn’t want to believe that there would be a Warriors/Cavs pt. 4. Congratulations to the Warriors. Super Impressive. Three Titles in 4 years. Kevin Durant cannot be stopped. That’s why it’s super frustrating that he went to Golden State. “The Hardest Road” he called it. Come on Kevin. Just admit you wanted to have an easy ring. Here’s some good news KD, LeBron just made it easier!
LeBron James has committed to the Los Angeles Lakers. Here’s the Lakers starting 5 from last year: Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Ivica Zubac. LeBron had the chance to go to Philadelphia to play with Joel Embiid, Markelle Fultz, and reigning Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons. He could have done a sign and trade and gone to Houston to play with Chris Paul and James Harden. He could have stayed in Cleveland, his hometown!
He chose the Lakers. Maybe he’s hoping Kawhi Leonard will join him in a year. Paul George has opted to stay with Oklahoma City, a surprise to everyone.
The race to get the number one seed in the West just became very important. If the Warriors or Rockets get the 1 seed, then that means that the other team will most likely have to face LeBron in 2nd round of the playoffs. Then they will have to face each other. The West will be a bloodbath.
It’s going to be a great season. I can’t wait for October.
